Samuel Gipson grew up in small towns in and around Washington state with his mother and two brothers. Despite being a highly competitive all-star athlete, he never quite felt like he fit in. Until he discovered his love of acting. After landing the lead role in his high school's rendition of "Murder in the Heir'", a spark was lit. Soon after being recruited to play basketball in college, Sam realized he needed more than sports could offer. In 2004 he entered and won the "Talent Rock" competition in Orlando, Florida. Along with the $5,000 cash prize, he received theatrical representation. Sam followed his gut and moved to Los Angeles to immerse himself in the world of the arts and pursue his dream of being an actor. He quickly began working - landing roles in independent films and local theater. He began studying at Playhouse West, under the tutelage of the legendary Robert Carnegie, where he still studies today. Since then he has starred in the award -winning film "Insides of a Lamb" and co-starred on Nickelodeon's "Just Jordan", FX's "Nip/Tuck", the CW's "90210", and recently wrapped a lead role in the film "Steampunk Samurai Biker Chicks". Up next is the pilot "Purposed", where he plays a music major torn between two loves. Sam continues to learn and grow as an actor and an artist. In 2010/2011, he built a fully functional retro-movie theater for the Burning Man festival, and this year he has begun to study Shakespeare and plans to learn to play the piano.
